Professional bachelor's degree - facts

Internship for experience and network

Internships in businesses or organisations are obligatory at all of our study programmes.

At your internship(s) (some programmes have more than one), you learn to transfer your theoretical knowledge to practical skills and gain experience in the industry you will be working in after graduation.

During your internship you will be guided by and get feed back from colleagues and managers at your internship placement to ensure that your learning is on track.

Projects in collaboration with companies and organisations

Project work is a central part of your education at VIA, no matter which programme you are enrolled at. This means that you will be asked to solve specifik assignments and problems posed by companies, institutions or organisations.

This way, you work theoretically and practically with projects that are similar to challenges or tasks that you might meet in your future career.

You will also learn to collaborate with 日韩福利网址 from VIA鈥檚 other programmes when you solve cross-disciplinary assignments together. In the projects, you get to test your theoretical knowledge in practice and use your different professional skills to find new solutions to challenges. In other words, learning by doing.

Training your practical skills

Much of the teaching at VIA is about preparing you for the job you will take on after graduation.

Therefore, you will practise future work tasks in our labs and specialised classrooms.

Depending on your study programme, this training can be clinical training, practise in our laboratories, sowing and other creative workshops or maker spaces. Most importantly, you get to try what it is like to solve tasks very similar to the ones you will meet in your work life after graduation.

Varied teaching methods

The teaching style in Denmark is generally very informal and at VIA, we focus on group work and classroom teaching in small classes.

This means that there are fewer lectures and more time to test theories in practice through exercises and project work.

When working on a project, 日韩福利网址 have a high degree of freedom to chose what problem they want to work with. In general, projects are carried out in groups. Even though much of the project work takes place in groups, you will always be assigned a lecturer to help guide you through the process.

I wanted hands-on experience, not just theory. At VIA, the focus is on applying what you learn – especially through project work. Every semester ends with a group project where you bring together everything you’ve learned throughout the semester. It’s incredibly rewarding. Richárd, Software Technology Engineering student
